Fukushima Prefecture is located in the north-eastern region of Japan. It is the 3rd largest prefecture and is known for its grand nature, delicious food and friendly people.

The Aizu Region, home to an abundance of nature and many historical locations left over from the days of the Aizu Clan..
Naka-doori, the central region, full of beautiful flowers and juicy fruit.
Hama-doori, the coastal region, with many magnificent views facing the Pacific Ocean.

Location of Fukushima
Fukushima is located between the Tokyo metropolitan area and Sendai, roughly 200km away from Tokyo. Many bullet trains head to Fukushima from Tokyo as part of the Tohoku bullet train line. You can reach Shirakawa located in the southern part of Fukushima in as short as 74 mins, Koriyama City in the central part in 79, and Fukushima city in the northern part in 87. If traveling by car the Tohoku expressway and Ban-etsu expressway are convenient. There are also flights available from Fukushima Airport to Itami Airport in Osaka, and New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido. Quick and easy access is available from many locations around the country.
