With everything that has happened and all the media, I can honestly say I am very proud of Fukushima for remaining so strong and proud. Living in Fukushima has taught me a lot about local culture and my culture as well. I have learned how a community can hold itself together with pride and love of all that makes it special. Through the many things I have done I have learned new recipes and improved my own cooking talents. Because of Fukushima's pride in its local cuisine, I have learned to appreciate food in ways I never thought was possible. Making soba by hand was an experience that I can honestly say would not have been the same anywhere else in the world. Getting to know Fukushima has improved my outlook on Japan, myself, and the rest of the world. I would recommend anyone and everyone to visit the Prefecture in their life time.
