Dear friends in Fukushima,
I have been living in Iwaki, Fukushima for only 3 months, but I have already had many unforgettable experiences throughout this amazing prefecture. I had the opportunity to participate in many different local Iwaki activities, such as the Iwaki Odori, as well as events throughout the prefecture, like the Firework Festival in Sukagawa and a Sumo tournament in Furudono. Recently I was able to participate in a study tour centered around the Aizu Region. The one thing that all of the events have in common are the people of Fukushima who are some of the most friendly and hospitable people I have ever met. So far, you have took care and looked out for me and I can’t express how thankful I am. Although times are tough right now, let’s continue to work hard and make Fukushima a greater place. Ganbappe!
