The 4 years I lived in Fukushima made for an unforgettable experience.
3 years have passed since the disaster, when I decided to return to Japan(after returning home briefly) I resolved to have no regrets. Through seeing the people of Fukushima work hard for recovery and not giving in even after suffering such an event, I found new meaning for studying in Japan.
I encountered keywords including the ‘calmness ‘the people of Fukushima have to resolve problems in an orderly fashion, the ‘resolve’ to never give up no matter what difficulties are faced, and the ‘bonds’ formed through helping one another.
I managed to take these keywords, and apply them in my own life. I’m confident that they will give me direction from now on.
I pray for the recovery of Fukushima from the bottom of my heart, and am forever grateful to all those who have done their best to help Fukushima’s recovery.
