I came to Japan in July 2012 and lived in Yokohama for 1 year and 3 months. After that I decided to continue studies in the university of Aizu (Fukushima Prefecture). Before to come to Aizu, I was really worry about life in Fukushima and keep looking for information from Internet about life in Fukushima, specially the radiation rate. Unfortunately I received many bad news about life’s condition, and then I got worry and anxiety.

When I arrived I didn’t use tap water and obviously didn’t buy food from Fukushima and keep always-about radiation rate. After 3 months, I realized that Aizu is over 90 Km away from the Fukushima Daiichi power plant, there is no risk exposure, it was mostly unaffected by the crisis and was perfectly safe. I realized also that foods solved from supermarket are safe because carefully checked before to send them in the market. I think the Prefecture governmental should organize some kind of campaign through Internet and international media or TV show, showing the world, the real life of Fukushima and show them, this city is safe and it’s a good place to live. Fukushima is a wonderful place, full of great people and great beauty, I feel like at home and totally comfortable to live hear forever.
