Since the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 and the subsequent tsunami which destroyed many lives, Fukushima has been in constant recovery. It is still under a cloud of skepticism largely due to media misinformation. Indeed the subject needs to be addressed and be informed about, but the reality is the majority of Fukushima is safe to travel and live in. The Japanese are vehement about the safety and health. I witnessed this passion at various levels of agriculture screenings and along with constant monitoring around the prefecture. Ignoring the problems is obviously not the answer, but the idea that it is an unsafe area of the country is falsified by the presumed fear of supposedly high levels of radiation. I want to extend an invitation to everyone to please visit Fukushima-ken and experience the beauty of the prefecture first hand, before coming to any conclusions.
