For those of you who still remain worried about coming to Japan because of the radiation levels, I say that it is quite contained. The Japanese government is highly active in preventing this from being allowed to get out to the public, and would sooner see cities shut down than risk the reputation losses. This does not mean that the area has fully realised this. Many people still act in fear of radiation which propagates through word of mouth. As far as culturally, Fukushima prefecture has a lot to offer in the way of samurai history, and the spirit lives on in the people who continue to try and renovate their Fukushima based businesses to return the reputation that they once had. They are trying their hardest to recover, but need the people around them to believe that their products are safe once again.
