Participating in the Kenjinkai Summit

My visit to Fukukshima during the 2^nd Fukushima Summit was very gratifying and appreciated. The program and itinerary were outstanding and very well prepared. We all learned much about the current situation and possible outlook of Fukushima after the 3-11 disaster. The most important point learned was the people’s determination to overcome obstacles encountered in the environments, food and future goals. I have already begun my initiatives to encourage overseas people to visit safe and beautiful Fukushima as tourist by reporting about my two recent trips through our local newspapers and various community meetings.  The first tourist trip in April 2014 with 30 Honolulu Fukushima Kenjin Kai members was very enjoyable and safely completed.  . My second trip took place in Aug. 2014 with the 2^nd Fukushima Summit and it was educational and rewarding.

 I also plan to present a speech at our next Fukushima Kenjin Kai general membership New Year meeting/party (Shin-nen-enkai) in January 2015.
