
Currently, there are three large-scale bicycle paths (cycling roads) maintained and managed by Fukushima Prefecture.
In addition to commuting to work or school, there are many ways to use and enjoy these paths, such as cycling, jogging, picnicking, and walking. All of these cycling roads enable you to enjoy the rich nature of Fukushima Prefecture to the fullest.
This is a 50km long bicycle path that runs along the Okawa River, which flows north and south through the Aizu region, from Aizuwakamatsu City through Yugawa Village to Kitakata City. There are many famous places, historical sites, and river parks scattered around the path. It is also adjacent to the roadside stations Aizu Yugawa Aizubange and Kitanosato, which can be used as rest areas.
This path has also been designated as a model path by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for promoting bicycle use.

This is a 30km long bicycle path that runs along the Abukuma River in the central area of the prefecture, passing from Tamakawa Village through Sukagawa City to Koriyama City. The path is surrounded by lush rural scenery and dotted with tourist spots such as Otsujigataki Park and Sukagawa Peony Garden.

This is a 22km long bicycle path that runs along the Kuji River, which flows north and south through the southern area of the prefecture (Higashi Shirakawa District), from Yamatsuri Town to Tanagura Town. The surrounding area is designated as Okukuji Prefectural Natural Park, and is rich in nature, with historical sites and scenic spots scattered throughout. It is adjacent to the roadside station Hanawa and can be used as a rest area.
